CHARLES J. LAWSON is a Virginia native with a passion for reading the Book of Nature. In 2015 he began growing food and native plants on his homestead in Dinwiddie, Virginia, and in 2018 & 2023 he earned Permaculture Design & Education certifications from Shenandoah Permaculture Institute. His designs can be seen throughout the United States, at Modern Homestead (Carbon TV & Discovery Channel), in Chiang Rai, Thailand, and the campus of Richard Bland College of William and Mary.
